2011 INCMA Lecture Series: “Cyber Information Sharing

Wednesday, September 14, 2011, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Please join the InfraGard Nations Capital Members Alliance (INCMA) for the next event in our 2011 Lecture Series. We're getting a jump on Cyber Security Awareness Month in October and providing three perspectives on Cyber Information Sharing.

Our speakers include Mr. Patrick T. Beggs, Director of Operations at the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC), Office of Cybersecurity and Communications, Department of Homeland Security; Mr. Trent R. Teyema, Assistant Special Agent in Charge, Washington Field Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation; and Mr. William B. Nelson, President and Chief Executive Officer, Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center.

Mr. Beggs will provide an overview of the NCCIC, what role it plays in the coordination of national response efforts to significant cyber incidents, and how it integrates cyber information from Federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial governments as well as the private sector as it relates to situational awareness, vulnerabilities, intrusion incidents, and mitigation activities.

Mr. Teyema will provide an overview of the FBI's cyber sharing initiatives, programs, and partnerships from both a local and national perspective, including Cyber Action Teams, computer crimes task forces, Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force (NCIJTF), and InfraGard.

Mr. Nelson will provide an overview of the Information and Sharing Analysis Center mission, to advance the physical and cyber security of critical infrastructures by establishing and maintaining a framework for valuable interation between and among the various ISACs, using the Financial Services ISAC as a model.
